Real Progress Comes from Democracy, Not Infrastructure: Why Freedom Matters
States prosper and progress through democratic values: free of speech & freedom of expression.
Any kind of blockade at any level even it is in academics where a state wants to inculcate those values which may lead to the fulfillment of state’s requirements, this scenario blocks the creative faculty of a nation which would never touch the peaks of researches at any field.
All 3rd world States’ people speculate that the prosperity they seen in building new roads, constructing new buildings or buying luxury cars is the real progression. They all speculate completely wrong. Even, Saudi Arabia has better road than out state ,Pakisran, let’s take the example of North Korea where a dictator leads a state, have good infrastructure than Pakistan. Even, monarchs spend more on their subordinates, but this is not what makes a country great? A state/ country will be better and standard when there is rule of law, no restrictions at any level, freedom of speech and freedom of expression.
I have seen many people,who would say,that the’X’ leader has built this project and that project ,which is actually not a bless of that ‘X’ , but it is what a citizen has earned and the state has taken that money by-force in the form of taxes and making projects. This should be understood that the money is earned by citizens not the state. State doesn’t bless people but people bless a state. If citizens are earning,then how other people can extravagantly spend that earned money?
Conclusively, it should be understood that real progress this country will see, when it truly becomes a democratic country.
