Quetta — In a solemn and dignified ceremony, Defence & Martyrs Day was observed at Quetta Garrison, paying tribute to the courageous men and women who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
The ceremony was attended by an esteemed gathering of civil and military leadership. The Chief Minister of Balochistan presided as Chief Guest, while the Governor of Balochistan joined as Guest of Honor. The Corps Commander Balochistan, senior officials, and representatives of the armed forces were also present, underscoring the province’s unified respect for the nation’s martyrs.
Amid an atmosphere of reverence, the Chief Minister placed a floral wreath on the martyrs’ memorial and offered Fatiha, reflecting the collective prayers for the eternal peace of those who laid down their lives safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty.
Speakers highlighted the enduring legacy of sacrifice and resilience demonstrated by the armed forces and security personnel. They emphasized that Defence & Martyrs Day stands as a reminder of the unwavering spirit that binds the nation together and inspires future generations to protect its hard-won peace.
