What Is Jurisprudence, And Its Different Kinds
It is the combination of two Latin word
Juris means law
prudentia means knowledge
It mean skillful law of knowledge law.
Scope of jurisprudence:
Scope of Jurisprudentia is every single thing related to law.
Jurisprudence is the grammar of law or eye of law. Each and every articles meaning, relation etc related to law is Jurisprudentia.
Definition
Jurisprudence is a systematic and formulated knowledge of law. It is a science of law.
Salmond has divide ‘The Jurisprudance ’ into three main kinds.
- Analytical Jurisprudence
- Historical Jurisprudence
- Ethical Jurisprudence
- Analytical jurisprudence
In Analytical Jurisprudance we are only concerned to discuss Civil law or existence of law,
It has nothing ( elemenates) to do with the goodness or badness of law, or history of law.
- Historical Jurisprudance:
In Historical Jurisprudance we only discuss the past stages of evolution and origin and from where does it came. And how does it came. Why did a law came into being.
- Ethical jurisprudence
In ethical jurisprud we are only concerned with the goodness and badness of law
We only study that weather the law is good for the people or wrong.
And we also study that for what purpose the particular law has been made.

Jurisprudence is derived from the word Jurisprudentia which means knowledge in law or skill in law.

Jurisprudence is the formal science of positive law. Formal science mean the external part of the subject which explain the subject matters. Positive law mean all those law which have been enacted following proper method.
