
In a landmark welfare initiative, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced a monthly stipend of Rs. 25,000 for 65,000 mosque Imams across the province. The move aims to support religious leaders who play a vital role in community guidance, education, and social harmony.

Speaking at the announcement, CM Maryam said the government recognizes the valuable contributions of Imams and is committed to improving their financial stability. She emphasized that this initiative reflects her administration’s vision of respect and empowerment for those serving in mosques.
The program will be implemented under the Punjab government’s social welfare reforms.
